Remember when you used to play this? You write one line, pass the paper on and the next person adds to it, and repeat, repeat, until you have a story?

I thought it could work well here.

You can only write as much as fits on one line of this box size, and if it cuts off mid sentence so much the better.

If it sounds like fun to you (or just something to do), reply by writing the opening line and others may follow...
