My story "Qubit Conflicts" went life today at Clarkesworld Magazine. here.

A mere 2100 words: check it out, and then tell me how much it sucks (or rocks) on the Clarkesworld Forum, Nick Mamatas's blog, or mine.

And thanks to Pete for proofreading it!

It's amazing how some stories just take on a life of their own, Jetse.

How do you mean that, Jim? I assume you mean it as a compliment, but desperate writers want to know...

OK: ignore the above, I am so tired that for the life (live?) of me I didn't see I made a typo.

On towards your normal programming.

You can read my opinion at Velcro City, Jetse. Good sale, and a good story.

Hard on the heels of the announcement that my first short story collection will be published by Elastic Press in August next year, comes news that my novel 'Silversands' has been accepted by Christopher Teague of Pendragon Press, and is scheduled for publication in 2009.

Congrats, Gareth!

Now make sure that this Teague fella gets you a decent cover artist.

Congrats GLP!
I'd like to second that vote, with Jetse, for a Vinny Chong cover. The entry page into my web site has been designed by Vinny and will be the cover of my book, Bull Running for Girls, coming out next year. Vinny is a wonderful artist!

Sale of all my personally owned mags and books carries on apace here:
http://www.tinyurl.com/38lq3r

This is my way of closing down a literary life gradually without the necessity for someone else disinterested in the stock having to get rid of it when I'm dead in 30 years' time (age 90). Also, as a neat unpredicted spin-off, I feel good in myself that some of the proceeds of this long-term Ebay sale will go towards beautiful 'Nemonymous' products and the payment for the publishing of stories by other writers in the next 30 years. The idea of 'Stories' is after all a sort of religion! :-)
