Just to let you know, the Huddersfield Literature Festival brochure is now ready. You can have a look at it here: www.litfest.org.uk

This is the 4th year of the festival and it is the biggest and best yet, with a cracking line up: Ian McMillan, John Cooper Clarke, Lemn Sissay, Joanne Harris and Mark E Smith. As well as a burlesque show to kick things off.

We all want literature festivals to be stimulating forums for debate and portholes for high minded ideas to enter our culture, but let’s face it, they can be a bit boring. Puffed up Oxbridge poets stooped over pulpits reading impenetrable pentameters. Well, this festival is different.
