Hiya.

I registered here back in 2008, posted twice, then life caught up with me. I'm back, and looking forward to getting involved.

You'll get to know me, I'm forum potty trained, and I don't feed trolls, although I like reading about them sometimes. I read sf, horror & fantasy, like short stories, and have a particular fondness for werewolves. I do write, but I won't burden you with that until I know you all a bit better.

I've subscribed to Interzone since '94, and Black Static since the first issue.

Yep, welcome back Jeanette, and I'm seriously impressed that after two years you can still remember your password :D

I can't remember when I first subscribed to Interzone, but I've been subscribing to Black Static since the first issue of The Third Alternative?

My name is Phil Morton, I am a new writer and have chosen to write under my pen name of Pip Morgan. 35ish years of age and have recently got married this year to my beautiful wife Sue. I live in South Yorkshire, ENGLAND. I came across this site by accident, looking for magazines to send my stories to. Firstwriter.com was the website that introduced me to this.

I have just read my first purchase of Black Static and I have to say that I am very impressed. The layout is brilliant and so is the art. The stories was what interested me the most though and after reading them I found some real talent. The magazine may not be to everyones liking, but it certainly was to mine.

Anyway, this is just a quick and brief introduction. I am off now to play with some words and things and hopefully get my mojo flowing. See you all soon.

Pip Morgan

Hi Phil, welcome. Can I ask if you bought BS locally and if so where?
Best of luck with the writing.

I didn't buy BS locally, I actually purchased it from your website. It was a back issue that I purchased. I did try and get it from WHSmith but the search didn't find anything on their website.

I know I paid a little more than the initial cover cost but I have to admit it was well worth it.

After Christmas is out of the way and paid for, I will be subscribing to BS as I thoroughly enjoyed the stories and the layout is easy to follow. This is not an ordinary magazine and that is what I love so much about it. I have tried to find similar magazines and have come up with a complete blank.

Thank you all, who welcomed me to the site and the forum. The welcome is very much appreciated.

I wish you all the best of luck with your writing and indeed your careers and living.

Hi Pip/Phil,
Welcome to our world :)

I love Yorkshire too, with lovely rich gravy, some beef, mashed spuds with butter and peas.... yum yum
