Hi, I just came across this site a couple of weeks back. Definitely going to subscribe to IZ soon.

One thing I was wondering was with the free download section the encoding of some of the text is strange. Instead of " and ' I get ??? Image below is a screenshot to show you what I mean.

I've tried changing character encoding in Firefox, and my friend with Internet Explorer has the same problem. Nothing seems to work. Is it because the text was copy/pasted direct from word with so-called 'smart quotes'? Any ideas?

See what you mean - I get three square boxes on my PC, and three question marks in diamonds on my Mac!

Looking at the source code, the quotes and apostrophes haven't converted properly into HTML elements - though in the title of "The Sledge-maker's Daughter" the apostrophe has. Perhaps the heading had a straight apostrophe, whereas the others were curly smart-quote type ones?

Quite probably, yes.
