Just a brief note to say that I just sold my first book, to Solaris. The book is set in the same world as most of my stories that have appeared in Interzone, and those stories played a significant role in getting the proposal over the top. I want to thank Andy and Jetse for their faith in me, for their willingness to publish my stories, especially Jetse for the work he put into helping me with rewrites. Also thanks to the readers who have enjoyed my work, and talked about it in various blogs and review sites. Grinding away at fiction is a lonely business, and I couldn't have done it without all of you. Thanks.

Congrats, Tim, looking forward to the book!

And you're not the only one I've tortured with rewrites, although most of them don't have a book contract.

Great news.

Congratulations Tim! Looking forward to the novel. 'The Algorithm' was one of my favourite IZ stories last year.

Cheers, Mike

I wonder if I can raise a little publicity for IZ, and yourself, on the back of this Tim. If you are interested you can reach me on roy1gray (at) yahoo (dot) co (dot) uk.
