Sorry to hear that Harry Harrison has died. I mainly read his Stainless Steel Rat books, and not much else, but once attended a creative writing session that he took.

He was a great guy. I used to sit in the pub and listen to his witty anecdotes. They guy had an interesting life.
And he was a great writer. I loved the "Stainless Steel Rat" and "Make Room, Make Room".

He will be sadly missed.

Bill, the Galactic Hero changed my views of SF humour.
Not many genre authors have manged to write serious and comic novels with equal virtuosity.

He wrote a story called "E =mc2 or bust". Great story, brilliant title. Can't do superscripts here.

Loved his Stainless Steel Rat books as a teenager. Should probably read more of his output, as he was apparently highly versatile. RIP Harry.

Sad to hear. I haven't read a great deal by him and, contrarily, much preferred the more serious work, especially some of his short stories and the novel "Captive Universe".
