Actually, beleivable, sadly. But shocking.

I'd be fuming - not only is it rude and all of that, but the writer is now represented by something that isn't theirs. At least if someone doesn't like my stuff and avoids me forever, I know it's for the right reasons!

I've been avoiding these guys for about a year now.
They had accepted one of my stories for a book of theirs, then after nine months of waiting for it to be published, they just suddenly dropped the book.
Then they sent me a really ignorant and unprofessional email to tell me it was cancelled.

I know it's not as bad as having your story butchered, but it shows how dodgy that company actually is, and they have a few different imprints they publish under.

I wouldn't be surprised to see loads more stories about them popping up!
