Time for some shameless self-promotion, folks.

The Sheffield Fantasy & Science Fiction Social Club have declared their first social on 24th January, 2015. Amongst the, erm, attractions is me reading from 25 Ways To Kill A Werewolf. Adrian Tchaikovsky will also be reading (and do a better job of it, no doubt).

I've had three short stories published this month. "Burning Daylight" in Confingo Magazine, "Soapsud Galaxies" in Jupiter SF, and "Black Lung" in Black Static

I have a new ebook available for pre-ordering.

Family Tree is a story that's very close to my heart. Originally published in 2008 (in Helix #7), in part it's a what-if about the Apollo programme, but mostly it's about the importance of teachers. I think Family Tree will resonate with a lot of readers.

This ebook will be released simultaneously in Kindle and epub formats on January 5th, 2015. However, it is available to pre-order now, from Amazon and Smashwords (iTunes, Kobo, B&N soon). UK/EU readers can pay less VAT if they pre-order Family Tree before January 1st.

And the latest thing to shout about: European Monsters from Fox Spirit Books is now available on Amazon (UK link here). This is an anthology of horror stories where the monsters are actually, you know, monstrous. And it's self-promotion because I'm a co-editor :)

Here's a blog post on my writing year 2014: http://andrew-hook.blogspot.co.uk/

It was lucky thirteen: 13 stories written, 13 stories sold, 13 stories published (but not the same 13!)

This short story, which was originally published in Helix (2008), is particularly close to my heart. In part it is a what-if about the Apollo programme, but mostly it's about the importance of teachers. If you are a teacher, or if you were inspired by those who taught you, this story is for you.

'Storylandia 15 - The Julie Travis Collection' has just been published by Wapshott Press in Los Angeles. If only I was more computer savvy, I could show off a bit more and add the front and back covers to this post (I was lucky enough to have some of my photography used). This is my first collection - it's always exciting to be published, but this is extra special, as I'm sure many of you already know!

Not sure that's big enough, Roy...

Thanks! Thought you could only post photos of a certain, smaller size. Evidently not.
