It's about time more people started using the term 'sly-fi'. This refers to novels by people like Atwood, Winterston, James et al that are clearly science fiction but which the authors are determined to promote as literary/mainstream fiction (for what are, no doubt, perfectly sound commercial reasons, given their fan bases and markets).
