I know this is a writer and reader-related venue, but since it's general discussion, I've meant to ask, what do some of you like to cook or eat. What are some of your favorite restaurants, pubs, and dishes?

I like home made troccoli (sort of egg spaghetti) with home made sugo and braciola (sauce and thinly cut steak filled with grated parmesan cheese, pine cone nuts, sultanas and rolled into sort of beef olives) cooked in marsala (fortified, sherry-like wine) sprinkled liberally with grated cheese. Complimented with a nice glass of Merlot. Bloody hell I feel hungry now!
Southern Italian recipe.

I hate eating, it's such a chore. I look forward to the day when we can just take a pill.

But in a pub I will look on the menu for chicken tikka masala, and order a side plate of chips, combining the two for one great feast. My favourite dessert is syrup sponge.

I like a nice tuna steak, pink in the middle, with a lime, olive oil and black pepper marinade, cooked on a griddle pan (or chargrilled if it's at a restaurant). Preferably with some tasty Jersey Royal new potatoes.

Swordfish with chips is another favourite.

If I'm going posh, maybe a sea-bass, monkfish or something like that.

If I'm going Indian, I like a King Prawn Tandoori, with a few side dishes (especially Tarka Dal).

I'm starving now!!

Okay, let me elaborate on my previous answer - chips fried from new potatoes, off Deano's stall on Yarmouth market (though Thompson's next door is also good, if there's a long queue at Deano's), drenched in hot curry sauce and eaten with a wooden - wooden, not plastic - fork.

Thai food.

When I was at FantasyCon in Nottingham there was a fantastic Thai place a few of us found, and from the first mouthful you could tell it was 100% authentic. Incredible flavours!

I also have cravings for Cornish pasties.

Buffalo Chicken Pizza - (for junk food).

Still trying to come up with my number one gourmet/dinner dish.

Big fan of anything that has cheese with it, for what it's worth. And anything Chinese is fine by me. Why, is there going to be a forum meal soon?
