Yes, I got it before seeing what you had written in white. But I wasn't sure, I was just taking a stab at it, without knowing the facts behind it.

By the way, shouldn't there be a full stop after 'decades'?

So we can all make up our minds what the 'T' stands for?

Risky. Very risky

Transcript from a shareholder meeting where one guy is protesting Starbucks' support of marriage equality because 'our sales and our earrings — shall we say politely — were a bit disappointing'.

This one is painful to read:-

the man in hospital lying in a comma

Presumably after an operation to remove his semi-colon went wrong.

Just been asked if I'd like to review a writer's 'fist novel'.

Depends on the sub-genre - martial arts or erotica.

Just read a review that complained the book had 'no joint up thinking'.

Not typos and necessarily amusing but I'm sharing them anyway.

Quote:
As news of Asiana Airlines and the Asiana accident keeps coming and news broadcasts keep updating, Bay Area television station KTVU had a feature that identified the pilots of that ill-fated Asiana Airlines flight. But sharp-eyed viewers were quick to notice the joke names listed such as "Sum Ting Wong" and "Ho Lee Fuk." The Internet has been quick to repost this grievous error and will likely churn this into a piece of pop culture Internet humor or meme. The "You Had One Job" meme comes to mind.

http://www.examiner.com/article/bay-are ... -ting-wong

via Robert Silverberg and Andy Porter

Quote:
On the midday news program yesterday on our local TV channel, the announcer said she had just been given the names of the crew members on the Korean airliner that crashed at SFO the other day, and proceeded to read these names:

Sum Ting Wong
Wi Tu Low
Ho Lee Fuk
Bang Ding Ow

By the time she got to the fourth one, she apparently realized that sum ting was indeed wong, and called for a break, after which she said the names were erroneous but that they had been confirmed to the station by the NTSB. Apparently an intern at the NTSB, some witless girl, had indeed confirmed them. The intern has now been sentenced to crucifixion and the announcer will have a month of ethnic sensitivity training.

"For more than 16 years, we have been engaged in trading, exporting and selling goods and services WORLDWIDE through our brick-and-mortal and online stores."

I think it means their workers live in the walls.

"Not intended for robot use..."

(From advert for a light-stick toy.)

'Robot' should have read 'robust'.

This notice is bought to you by the Campaign Against Robot Discrimination.

From an ebay ad:

"BATERES INCLUDED BUT MITE NEED CHANGING"

(In CAPS so we know it's important.)

Ah, the poor wee mite.
