In today's economy, probably not... Most mags are looking for 5k or less.
Even Andromeda Spaceways told me there wasn't anything wrong with the story, it was just too long. F&SF, on the other hand, is usually 99.9 percent
rejection most of the time. You might as well not even submit there and save your stamps. Even Gordon Van Gelder admitted so in a Writer's Digest article or some other interview a few years back about F&SF's turn-down ratio. Matter of fact, I'd say 15% of submissions these days to the Big Three are by invite or
agented (or Big 5 if you include Ellery's and Hitchcock).
However, there are two horror mags at the moment looking at two
other similar novelettes; they were nice enough to give it a browse.
