I've been thinking for a while about compiling a list of review outlets.

Obviously there are:-

Black Static - Horror etc

Interzone - SF/F etc

The Fix - short stories and novellas (collections, anthologies, magazines)

There are also:-

bookgeeks - pretty much eclectic, but with H, SF&F coverage

The Short Review - short stories, all genres and mainstream, but only book format as far as I can see

What else have we got?

Apart from the last one, all are mostly SF review sites.

Well there are print review columns beyond IZ and BS in the other SF mags; Analog, F&SF Asimov's plus BFA and BSFA.

Most have sample reviews somewhere on their websites.

The BSFA claim "Vector has probably the broadest review coverage of sf, fantasy and horror titles of any regular sf magazine. "

Other sites like Anthony G Williams blog also carry reviews but perhaps cover more older novels rather than new, though he is a conscientious Iz reviewer.

There's Locus, of course, and Tangent has reappeared recently. Foundation and the New York Review of Science Fiction are another two dedicated print magazines, and don't forget that many broadsheet newspapers frequently carry SF reviews. The Guardian's Saturday Review section, for example (So I'm a wishy-washy liberal - shoot me), has a monthly column from Eric Brown which covers around four books at a time, and Keith Brooke and Ursula le Guin also review regularly for them.

Just thinking about Locus reminds me they they've got a page, listing links, that covers a lot of the same ground. Some of it is a bit more out-of-date than it should be, bit it's still very useful.
