Well Charlie the Interzone TTA staff don't nominate these stories because that would be choosing one above all the others published. So we are happy when the readers nominate a story so we can take advantage. So someone liked it Mills and Boon or not.

I gather you aren't an Interzone reader so if you go to Eastercon or Incwriters give me a call me in the dealers' room or at the sales tables and I'll give you a copy to try. We are always interested in reader's opinion.

Meanwhile there are other recent Interzone stories on the web at http://ttapress.com/category/interzone/free-downloads/ Just scroll down past Slegdemaker, there are another four plus one at http://www.theshortstory.org.uk/stories/index.php4?storyid=5

This is a wind-up, isn't it? It has to be the worst piece of Mills and Boon reject it's been my misfortune to read in a long time. Turgid prose that an amateur would be ashamed of and a hackneyed storyline. Published in Interzone? A BSFA Award nomination? Has the SF Fantasy world really got this bad? Should I laugh or should I cry? I think I's better laugh cos if I start crying there's no way I'd stop.
