Hello, ladies and gents.

Andy has let yours truly get under the bonnet of the T3A Wordpress install, and so I’ve been tweaking a few things to make this site more enjoyable and interesting for you as readers, as well as more valuable and powerful for us as contributors and managers.

First thing you’ll notice is that the comments fields are now open, protected from drive-by spam by the inimitable Dr. Dave’s Spam Karma plug-in. So please feel free to post your thoughts in response to future updates here at T3A.

Secondly, I’m about to reset the RSS feed for the site to be hosted by Feedburner - first and foremost because it will let us see how many people are reading it, but secondly because it allows us to make it more compatible and browser-friendly for you the reader. The redirection should be automatic, thanks to more back-room wizardry which I’ll activate a little after posting this entry … but if not, this is the new RSS feed URL for T3A Space. So go subscribe, why don’t you? :)

Thirdly, I’ve adjusted the way Wordpress names the URL of individual pages (to make search engine crawlers like them more). The downside of that is that any post-specific links you may have made to articles on T3A Space may well now be broken. The upside is that, now it’s done, it won’t happen again - and the URL on your browser screen will actually have some connection to the post you’re reading. Wh000t, as the kids say these days.

Any questions about what I’ve done (or any advice on doing similar things to your own Wordpress install), please get in touch via the comments or email. I hope you enjoy the new functionality, and I’m looking forward to bringing more quality content to the TTA site in times to come.
