The Advent Calendar - Day Twenty Three

23rd Dec, 2009

Author: Peter Tennant

In case anyone hasn't guessed, I'm getting a little hard pressed to think up something new to post by way of an introduction on the entry page.

The last few writers have been people I know practically nothing about. Rachel Kendall however, I know quite well.

For one thing, she has a collection of stories out from Dog Horn Publishing titled The Bride Stripped Bare, and you should most definitely get your paws on a copy of that, not because the fiction is any good (though it is, oh yes, it assuredly is), but because I wrote the Introduction to the book.

For another, she used to edit a print and online zine called Sein und Werden, which published some stonkingly good fiction and artwork, including several ditties from myself, among them a collaboration with Paul Bradshaw that 'updated' the Greek myth referenced in the Introduction here (it all ties in).

Rachel's fiction and non-fiction has been flung far and wide on the internet and in the real world, including appearances in Nemonymous, Darkness Rising and Horror Express, among others.

Click on the link below for the disgustingly brief and briefly disgusting 'Quality Control' at Straight from the Fridge.
