The TTA Press website

As Electronic Editions Editor for TTA Press, it is with great pleasure that I introduce to you, the reader, another way to enjoy Interzone. In addition to the print version, readers will now enjoy instant access worldwide to the first ever e-Editions of Britain’s longest running science fiction and fantasy magazine, premiering at Fictionwise.
Beginning with Fictionwise’s regular release of new titles on Monday, December 17, 2007, readers will have the option of purchasing single issues or a one-year subscription. The eBooks will debut with the three latest issues of Interzone: 211, 212, & 213. Future issues will appear alongside the arrival of the print edition. At this time, there are no plans to offer any issues before 211.
Fictionwise offers a wide array of eBook formats, which now include formats for the Sony Reader and Amazon Kindle (with wireless download option).
Inside each e-Edition of Interzone you will find the complete text and color artwork found in the print edition. In lieu of having the compelling look and feel that our editor, Andy Cox, bestows on the print edition, the e-Edition will be formatted so that it can be easily read on virtually any electronic device.
A one-year eMagazine subscription would make a great holiday gift for yourself or a friend. New issues automatically appear in your personal Fictionwise bookshelf when they become available, and an email notification will be sent. You can begin with the issue of your choice. Subscriptions are convenient and save you money!
I hope you enjoy reading the e-Edition of Interzone as much as Andy, myself, and the good folks at Fictionwise have enjoyed bringing it to you. Don’t forget to try TTA Press’s Crimewave, crime and mystery magazine, available now at Fictionwise.
Cheers!
Pete Bullock
P.S. Something is coming through… Black Static is seeping out…

Bravo, I say. I read Cory Doctorow’s Someone Comes to Town, Someone Leaves Town on my old Palm Treo, and would jump at the chance to experience IZ in the same, portable, backed-up, no-bent-corners way. However…
I’m assuming that if I want both the print and the electronic version, I’ll need to purchase two separate subscriptions. I’m currently a print subscriber to Interzone, but would dearly love to have electronic versions too, both so I can read them on my phone and so I don’t lose all the content when the issue (inevitably) has to go to the great recycler in the sky.
Essentially, I’d be tempted not to renew my print subscription in favour of the convenience of the electronic. I don’t know if that would be good or bad from tta’s point of view, but have you considered a deal where subscribers can have both for less off-putting premium than two full subs?
Hi Kenny,
A dual subscription is a great idea. It’s one that we’ve struggled with at length. However, the logistics of such an undertaking are impractical, so we’re not likely to offer such a thing in the near future.
Perhaps you can take advantage of one of the discounts that Fictionwise offers, like the Buywise Club, which gives a discount on single issues and should make the purchase price a little more doable. A one year (6 issue) subscription will also give you a better price than buying single issues at the regular price. I think you’ll find that the Fictionwise price is very reasonable even without a discount though.
As far as which subscription method is good or bad from our point of view, TTA Press is happy whenever you buy our print version and/or our e-version. Either way, we have a paying customer and that’s good news for us.
Cheers!

So nothing pre-#211 on Fictionwise…ever? The reason I’m asking is that Jetse told me #200 was sold out worldwide …
Finally! Thank you very much. I do hope that you’ll change your mind and older issues will also be available at fictionwise.com. Looking forward to appearance of e-edition “Black Static”.
It is all good and works fine.
