Black Static

After ten and a half years as book reviewer for Black Static (and prior to that a number of years reviewing books for The Third Alternative), I've decided that it's time to call it a day. The Case Notes section in #64 will be my last.

Andy is looking to assemble a team of reviewers/interviewers along similar lines to Team Interzone to provide content from #65 onwards. Anyone interested in becoming part of this team should write to andy@ttapress.com

With immediate effect all queries regarding books for review in the magazine should be directed to andy@ttapress.com and any 'hard' copies of books for review should be sent to the main editorial address - TTA Press, 5 Martins Lane, Witcham, Ely, Cambs CB6 2LB, UK

I still have a lot of review copies stockpiled, many of books that I have read already and not as yet reviewed, or that I haven't read but particularly wish to do so. As and when time allows, I intend to post future reviews to this blog through till the end of 2019, and some of these may find their way into the pages of the magazine. I'll also continue in the role of proof reader for various TTA Press publications.

My thanks to everyone who has sent me material over the past decade or so, and my apologies to those who have sent books but missed out on a review. It simply hasn't been possible to cover everything.

Thanks also to those readers who've been supportive over the years, and the many writers and editors I've had the pleasure of interviewing.

Most especially, thanks to Andy, who's given me virtually a free hand in how I run Case Notes and always had my back, and whose hard work and dedication to the cause of genre fiction make all this possible.
