Black Static

Listed below are the books received for review since the last update, which was on 14 June 2017.

There are fifteen new titles and six of them have been written or edited by women, taking our totals for the year so far to one hundred and three books received, thirty seven of them with a female by-line (36%).

The corresponding figures for the magazine are fifty eight titles reviewed and twenty six of them either written or edited by women (45%).

The next issue of the magazine (#60, out in September) will mark the completion of ten years of continuous publication at Black Static and my plan for that issue's Case Notes is to focus on the work of writers who have appeared in the magazine during that time and helped to make Black Static a success through their efforts.
