pages in this sectionTTA Readers - save my back.
Do you save your Interzones, Black Statics or Crimewaves. Maybe, like me (Roy), you collect them or you keep issues you appeared in or were reviewed in. Some of you may even have collected Third Alternative, The Fix or Zine. Others may want to sample these legendary publications.
So, if you are short of an issue or would to replace a dog-eared copy with a pristine, eye track free, new - in the sense of never been read - copy, we have an answer.
We found some that were sent out on sale or return to Back Brain Recluse, (BBR) and their unsold stocks include Black Static #1, #2 and #3 along with other issues now long sold out. They also have Interzones, no #200's though and no Fahriga Velic's Giant Robot - #206, but Jim Burns Elf Fatale cover - #205, is there along with the John Picacio special - #204, the Chris Becket special - #218 and many others TTA have long sold.
The prices are normal plus postage, no mark ups for age, rarity, contents - sorry, no Joe Hill Third Alternatives left but lots of others.
"Sale or Return" usually means destroy if unsold when the next issue arrives but, like us, BBR find such a policy abhorrent and tend to keep them in the hope of finding a buyer one day. For a few of those issues that one day hasn't arrived and, with destruction such an abomination, the unsold issues may well end up in my loft thence to appear at various conventions and events.
That means I have to climb a ladder with an extra five or more 10 to 15 kilo boxes of books/magazines to get them into the loft and then bring them down again 3 or 4 times a year. Surely you wouldn't want me to do that at my age? So why not contact Chris Reed at BBR and buy a few of the magazines listed below? In so doing you can bask in the joy of knowing you've done your bit to save my poor back some of that heavy weightlifting in hairy - all things considered - circumstances.
So here is a list from October 2012
